Stacey Agin Murray

Professional Organizer and Author, Stacey Agin Murray has been organized since her months in the womb. Her mother thought ‘the baby was kicking’ but in reality, Stacey was searching for a place to store some excess umbilical cord…
After her time in-utero, Stacey moved into a 5’ x 12’ bedroom--her ‘Organizing Laboratory’, where she quickly learned to think ‘upward’ instead of ‘outward’ and organized her precious inches of space. Despite the room's size, there was always enough space for pens, paper, and her lap desk--an organized space for writing.
Careers as a graphic designer, editor, and elementary school teacher as well as time spent in her ‘bedroom/laboratory’ provided the foundation for Stacey’s work as a Professional Organizer. A love and appreciation of the written word coupled with the desire to help others gave her the motivation to become a blogger and author.
Stacey’s formal education includes a B.A. in Art from SUNY-Binghamton and an M.A. in Art Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. She is a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO), NAPO’s Golden Circle, and the New Jersey Association of Women’s Business Owners (NJAWBO). In 2007, Stacey authored the ‘Organizing on a Shoestring’ column for Organize Magazine. She is the author of The Organized Bride’s Thank You Note Handbook: Let Systems and 101 Modern Sample Thank You Notes Take You From Overwhelmed to Organized. Stacey lives in Fair Lawn, NJ with her husband, two sons, and her thirteen year old label maker.
