BA and MA from Fairleigh Dickinson Univ, almost completed PhD in Spanish Lit at NYU. Completely bi-lingual, Spanish and English. Taught at Paramus Catholic Boys HS, Chairman of Foreign Language Dept - 27 years; taught 8th Grade students at St. Peter the Apostle in River Edge for eight years. Elected first Hispanic Freeholder in Bergen County; first woman elected to serve on River Edge Council; member of Democratic National Committee 12 years. Vice Chair of Historic New Bridge Landing State Park Commission and Vice Chair of River Edge Historic Commission. Daily Lector and Eucharistic Minister at St. Peter the Apostle Church.
