Keith Torgan

Keith Torgan is a poet, author, singer, songwriter, guitarist, actor, storyteller and educator -- a multidisciplinary artist with more than twenty years of experience in children’s music who has appeared at hundreds of theaters, cabarets, universities, museums, schools, and libraries throughout the United States. As composer Torgan created scores for The Tempest and Ring Round the Moon at the Williamstown Theater Festival, as a solo cabaret artist Torgan has performed in such noted New York venues as The Knitting Factory and the Judith Anderson Theater. Torgan was the founder and songwriter for “Morgan, Torgan & Teri;” guest performer and writer for BMG’s Early Ears” series, and composer and lyricist of the popular children’s musical, “There’s Always a Dragon to Slay”. He has written a multitude of songs and is the author of all the Green Golly Project stories including the Parents’ Choice Gold Award and Family Choice Award winning Green Golly & Her Golden Flute. Torgan is a recipient of an Ars Veritas Foundation Grant for his work in music education and music curriculum development. He is presently working on a musical memoir called “Life in the Middle Ages” and is busily touring the world with the Green Golly Project in reaches as near as your corner school and as far as the Great Wall of China.
